About Equine Inspired Therapies
Hi, I'm Vicki!
Founder/Lead Practicioner of Equine Inspired Therapies
I’m so glad you’ve found us, and I hope this introduction gives you a glimpse into the meaningful work we do here with our incredible team of horses. Equine-assisted therapy offers a deeply fulfilling way to explore your therapeutic goals, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Our story
Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals through a wide range of life challenges and mental health experiences. My background includes working with people dealing with dependency behaviours, trauma responses, unwanted behavioural patterns, and those simply seeking clarity and direction in life. My goal is to work alongside you to identify your values, goals, and any underlying challenges that may be affecting your well-being, so we can collaboratively work toward positive change.
I bring experience in addressing various mental health conditions, including (but not limited to) bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, grief and loss, attachment issues, social anxiety, relational struggles, depression, substance dependency, complex trauma, and more. Together, we’ll create a safe space for you to explore and heal in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
Equine therapy allows for a unique, experiential approach. With the gentle and intuitive presence of horses, our sessions provide an opportunity for real connection, trust-building, and personal insight that traditional talk therapy often cannot match.
Meet My Crew
Wonderful co-workers
One of the most special aspects of Equine Inspired Therapies is my assistants—the horses. Each one brings a unique energy and presence to our sessions, offering genuine, non-judgmental feedback.

Valentine
Executive Assistant
Valentine was born on 14 February 2008, a special date that inspired his name. Orphaned as a foal, much of his early life is a mystery until he joined Greenacres Horse Riding in 2015. There, he spent years helping beginners build their confidence, both in the arena and on trail rides.
Valentine absolutely loves trips to the beach but is not a fan of being around cars. On 31 January 2023, he came into my care and has since embraced his role as the lead herd member and executive assistant at Equine Inspired Therapies.
Valentine is more than just a team member—he is my dearest friend and confidant. His calming energy offers a sense of strength, understanding, and safety to everyone he meets. While he is still capable of being ridden, Valentine has shown me he’s ready for a new chapter. These days, he’s busy managing the herd and keeping me grounded.
Having Valentine by my side is a true blessing. I deeply respect his wisdom and the lessons he so generously shares with us all.
